Welcome to Pre-Op Canada. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pre-Op Canada website, online educational programs, courses, learning materials, assessments, user accounts, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not access or use the Services.

1. About Pre-Op Canada

Pre-Op Canada provides online educational resources and training related to pre-operative medicine for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

The information and educational materials provided through the Services are intended for educational and professional development purposes. They are not intended to replace clinical judgment, professional training, institutional policies, or consultation with qualified healthcare professionals.

Pre-Op Canada does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or direct patient care through the Services.

4. User Accounts

Certain features of the Services require you to create a user account.

Pre-Op Canada reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account where there is evidence of unauthorized access, account sharing, fraudulent activity, or violation of these Terms.

5. Course Registration and Access

Access to paid courses is provided to the individual who purchases or is otherwise authorized to access the course.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, course access is intended for the registered learner only and may not be transferred, sold, assigned, or shared with another person.

Pre-Op Canada may establish access periods, completion requirements, or other conditions associated with a particular course. Any course-specific conditions presented at the time of registration form part of these Terms.

Pre-Op Canada reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any course or portion of the Services when reasonably necessary.

6. Course Certificate

Where a Pre-Op Canada course provides a certificate, the certificate is issued only to the learner who satisfies the applicable course requirements.

Completion of a Pre-Op Canada course or receipt of a Pre-Op Canada certificate does not, by itself, constitute a professional license, medical specialty qualification, government credential, or accreditation unless expressly stated otherwise by Pre-Op Canada.

Learners are responsible for determining whether a course or certificate satisfies the requirements of their employer, professional college, licensing body, educational institution, or other organization.

7. Intellectual Property

All content made available through the Services, including text, graphics, photographs, illustrations, videos, audio recordings, presentations, course materials, assessments, logos, trademarks, designs, and other materials, is owned by Pre-Op Canada or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless expressly permitted by Pre-Op Canada, you may access and use course materials solely for your own personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute course materials;
• Sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit course materials;
• Upload course materials to another website or platform;
• Share paid course materials with another person;
• Record or reproduce course videos or lectures;
• Modify or create derivative works from course materials;

Pre-Op Canada reserves the right to withhold or revoke course completion recognition or a certificate where there is evidence of academic dishonesty or misuse of course materials.

You agree not to use the Services:

• To violate the rights of another person or organization;
• To gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
• To interfere with the operation or security of the website;

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec, Canada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Pre-Op Canada Privacy Policy and any course-specific terms or agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and Pre-Op Canada concerning your use of the Services.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and a specific written agreement governing a particular course or service, the specific agreement will prevail to the extent of the conflict.
